A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
SHIP OF
THE WEEK
Number XX:
IMPERIAL COMMAND SHIP EXECUTOR
It is a time of great crisis in the galaxy, as the evil GALACTIC EMPIRE prepares to strike a decisive blow against the scattered REBEL ALLIANCE.
Into the fray glides the Command Ship Executor. First of the Star Dreadnaught class of ships, she serves as the flagship of Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith and agent of the Emperor. With enough firepower to render a planetary surface lifeless in hours, her mere presence in a star system is usually enough to bring the locals to heel.
She is 19,000 meters long, armed with hundreds of capital and point defense guns, a full wing of TIE tactical craft and nearly forty thousand troops for ground assaults. She was constructed by the Kuat Drive Yards in association with Fondor Shipyards.
THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
Episode Five of the sci-fi/fantasy series created by George Lucas. Starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, it tells the story of Darth Vader’s pursuit of Luke Skywalker as Luke takes his first steps to becoming a Jedi Knight. The Executor makes her first appearance in the film, as she and her fleet attempt to find a hidden Rebel base.
“You are in command now, Admiral Piett.”
