Excelsior Class/Enterprise B Deckplans Blueprints?

Publiusr, I have already seen these sites. Although they were good for the externals, they are no help for the internal. Especially when it comes to how the crew quarters are laid out. But thanks anyway.

I was thinking about the catch phrase that is used in conjunction with the Excelsior. I am talking about "The Great Experiment" Why did it take so long for this to to shed its NX nomenclature and take on the NCC nomenclature? I am thinking it is not only because the experimental transwarp system had to be replaced, but also that this hull was the testbed of several new starship systems that would not only allow the ship to better than any previous starships, but the new systems would allow for better crew comfort and longer deployments. SO I am going to take artist interpretation to the maximum and incorporate some of the TNG systems into the design, but on smaller scales. It would also give the explanation of why this hull is still being used even after the Dominion War.

Personally not a fan of the nacelle. I think its the colourscheme that throws me off.. it.. might work better if its the same kinds of shades of blue as the rest of the bodywork?

Imagine it with the same paint scheme. I do plan to change the design. I was thinking that a refit would update the warp nacelle along with the warp core.

Just some more info about the Excelsior Refit. It has Phaser Strips not dual banks, It has 12 torpedo tubes in four banks of three, It has 16 fighters, four Argo-class shuttles, one Scout shuttle, 30 to 32 other various shuttles (Type 6, Type 7, Type 9 and Type 9a), and 4 Type 11 shuttles. It can saucer separate like the Enterprise-D does; it has a battle bridge and secondary impulse engines (Intrepid-type), and it has over 7 computer cores. The warp core no longer goes through the saucer into the star drive section, it is in the stardrive section only and takes up only six decks, has 24 new-type anti-matter pods, A-M injectors and deuterium injectors. The stardrive has Defiante-type crew quarters to accommodate the crew in an emergency situation. All the labs except two are in the stardrive section (it does have the Enterprise-Bs bulging secondary hull). It has regenerative shielding generators and a TNG-style deflector dish. Basically, the ship was retro fitted to be a viable asset in the 24th century.

Been working on the Excelsior deck plans some more with Tim Palgut's assistance. Here are the new deck plans that I have done. The plans are the external views and a part of the side cutaway view. Also are decks 1 through 4. Although I have some refining to do and the labeling, I think the plans are coming out better. Tim's assistance came in the form of the outline of the decks. My original plan was to use the 450m Excelsior, but it turns out I will be using the 500m version. The plans are larger the Strategic Design's deck plans, in fact, they are 30% larger. Doing them at this scale means that I am able to do some good detailing.

Need some help here. All of the information that I have found says there are over 100 ships of the Excelsior-class, 30% of those are of the Enterprise-B variant. I can only find those that are listed on this pic that can be viewed on the link below. The Electra-A is one that I added. What I am asking is for people to send me names of this ship class if that name is not on the list that I have provided.

Well I guess it would depend on what point in time you wanted the list to represent. Like the launch of the Enterprise B time frame or TNG or post Dominion War? I imagine they've lost and replaced quite a few of them over the years since she had such a long service life.

Memory Alpha lists 28 named ships of the class, two of them definitely being the refit variant.

Bear in mind that's all the 'canon' appearances through Deep Space Nine. There's a link to a bunch of unnamed ones there as well but that doesn't help you much.

Now this list has overlap but not all of it is canon but it'll help flesh out the list more.

Next challenge. Help me find the NCC registry numbers for these Excelsior class ships. Give any corrections if I have some wrong names and if any are in fact Excelsior variant hulls.

It's been a while, so I don't have the links ready, but I would use both Memory Alpha & Memory Beta wikis; Search "NCC" and "Starship Registry". That's how I got the info for my lists. I have one list for Prime Universe Canon, and sublists for licensed works (soft canon, which is inconsistent and has contradictory elements), and original works (my own stuff, some fanon and miscellany).

I have located over 0ne hundred ship names in the Excelsior class, but only eight of those is the Enterprise-B variant hull. I have a program that states how much machinery (Shuttles, transporters, etc) are supposed to be installed on a ship class (battleship, cruiser, etc.). Included int he program is a list of ships in the Excelsior class, but it is not as extensive as those on Memory Alpha and Memory Beta wikis.
