Everything You Never Even Wanted to Know About Both Klingon Calendars and the Day of Honor!

The alternative was to do more math than I really wanted to do for the sake of a dating system that 90% of my readership weren't even going to notice.

I always felt like the "Year of Kahless" likely referred to Kahless's birth or death or maybe some other significant date, like when he unified the Klingon Empire. If that's c. 850 C.E., then you have two points for a slope-intercept equation. Simple algebra! :borg: (In fact, Michael Schuster and I once worked this all out for a Klingon-focused Enterprise novel we pitched.)

Keith, you have to know we care!

No problem KRAD! Still plenty of interesting chronological data you established that it’s fun to pour over. And if you ever do anything else Klingon related, shoot me or the Timeliners group a message and we’ll do the math for you!
