Everything Wrong with STar Trek (video)

God forbid a movie contradict a minor part of a 50 year old show for the sake of telling a decent story.

I think this is something TNG did much better: the episode with Wesley in SF Academy ("Coming of Age") gave us a much more realistic "facing fear" test.

The test in question was obviously the psycho-simulator test referred to by Kirk in 'Bread And Circuses' that R.M. Merik failed miserably. And that test, while necessary, isn't more important than the Kobyashi Maru test for command cadets like Kirk was.

As for the lack of explosions, that was due to Kirk changing the conditions of the test so that he would win it; had the test gone as it was supposed to, the explosions would have been there.

And now I know for certain, no one on this board has a sense of humour. That video is hilarious, as is all the video reviews of movies this guy does in the same style. But no, he isn't showing 100% adoration of Trek XI or Abrams and therefore no one can take the time to appreciate a joke. I think this thread actually makes me sad.

No, it's the same for Ironman or any other movie he reviews.

They're not fucking funny. Most of the things he points out aren't even "wrong", they're just observations of things he doesn't like...like Budweiser Classic. Or they're just simply not correct.

Well, it fails at humor and at being interesting. There is some humor in that the fact that some individual devoted that much time to such a massive waste of time. I can enjoy a review if I agree with it of not, as long as it is in anywhere interesting.
