Everyone needs to watch Six Feet Under now!

Wow! I just finished watching it, and I knew what would happen would, but how it was handled was so amazingly done, it's breath taking. The last few episodes of the series makes up for the weirdness of season 4 story lines.

If you haven't watched it, buy it now and go on vacation, the show is 58 hours long, and is stunning. The most touching thing about the show is a major spoiler said by Maya...

"I want my daddy!" and kept asking where he was. I was even crying then.

The very last 5 minutes, it was the only way to end the show, it was clear from before I started it would have to end the way it did and somehow it was still extremely moving and well down. Bravo to everyone who made the show, you made the best show in the history of TV.

Six Feet Under is quite possibly the best TV show I've ever seen. Absolutely, utterly superb - even the "poor" episodes are better than the best of most shows. And that finale is completely brilliant, especially the last 8 or so minutes. I've watched that scene over and over and it blows me away every time. Incredible stuff.

Best TV show I've ever seen.

I was trying to talk about it with someone who brought up Heroes in response, and I couldn't figure out how to tell him, "Yes, Heroes is good tv (this was in the earlier days), but SFU is just orders of magnitude more impressive."

Its on my list but got a long way to get there, I know Michael C Hall is in it and that got my attention because he is awesome on Dexter.

A really good, show but I don't consider it the best (not even close). I strongly disliked about a 1/3 of it. But it did have consistently strong acting (even in caricatures that I didn't care for.

The last episode was excellent though.

I hated season 4, it was soup opera trash. However the characters you can feel for, and as a whole you really love the characters and that leads to my love of the show.

I have now watched the last 5 minutes 6-7 times.

It really is one of the best shows ever made. I have yet to see anyone not cry at the finale.

^ You would have to be dead not too. The finale blew me away.

I love this show. I need to break out the DVD's and revisit.

It started off great. The show got mired in mediocrity. But the last few eps? WOW! The ending blew me away. What a superb way to go out.

It started off great, and ended great. It sags in the middle, possibly due to Alan Ball not having as much participation due to illness or something, if I recall.

Aside from the last few episodes, I have to say the end of season 3/first episode of season 4 stuff was just devastating. I just can't imagine going through that situation myself. Tore through those episodes on DVD, and by the end just walked out of the living room numb and desperately needing someone to talk to.

My wife and I just finished this show last month, and it really captivated us. So many moments that were hard to watch, but in a good drama kind of way (like the incident with David and the hitchhiker). I wouldn't call it the best show of all time, but it would certainly land in my top 10 at this point.

I think that's one of the best episodes, and best qualities of the show - so many moments are cringe-worthy uncomfortable but perhaps none more than several parts of that episode.

It's on my Netflix queue. Gotta see Dexter's show before he was Dexter. :D When I feel up to launching into another multi-season show on DVD, I'll start in on it.
