"Everybody Loves Hugo" Live Commentary

So much for Locke's happily ever after. That's the worst thing Desmond has done since he dumped Penny. He's a pretty good guy usually, Brutha!

I think Desmond knew what he was doing but geez...couldn't you pick a better way, brutha? Not to mention you destroyed Locke's chance at happiness. Maybe Desmond's a destroyer in this world.

Does Desmond know that the guy who pushed him down the well wasn't really Locke?

I don't think that Desmond knew that NotLocke was not Locke. However I do think that he knew that NotLocke was going to throw him down the well and let it happen anyway.

Obviously, Ilana dying is sort of the catalyst for Hugo taking the lead, but they left the character as a total question mark. We know nothing about her. We don't know how she met Jacob, why he was like a father to her, and we don't know why she called out for "Sarah" on the Ajira plane when she woke up from her nap. A little disappointing.

Now you know what the whispers are.
It's gotta be more than ghosts of people who can't move on. Why would Ben tell Danielle that when she hears them she should run the other way? If that's all they say about it, why, I shall call shenanigans.
I have to agree. Almost every time we've ever heard the whispers is right before the Others appear. It even happens at the beginning of this season in the tunnels under the temple. And, as you mentioned, last season Ben tells Rousseau to stay away from them by telling her to run the other way when she hears whispers. It seems to me the writers/producers just couldn't come up with a good explanation for the Others and their whispering, so they turned it into the conversations of dead people.

It doesn't really bother me, but it's not a answer where you go, "Oh, of course that's what it was! It makes perfect sense now!" It's more like, "Okay, if you say that's what they are..."
I loved Michaels last line about Libby
It got my girl teary-eyed. :)
^ She looked great in her phone sex commercial too.

EDIT: Here it is.

Funny story about that commercial. My girlfriend and I used to laugh about it, mainly because they'd show it during every single break on every station late night. Then they got a different girl for the commercial, a blonde one I think. We both agreed we missed the old girl. :)

She said "Jarrah" because Sayid had disappeared.

Having watched the epidsode again, there is a strange "shower of rocks" when Ilana blows up-not a shower of Ilana like when Artz bought it.

Just a little strange.
