I'm kinda saddened to see people have their kids see them as embarrasing, or vice versa. Then again I've always had huge amounts of support so I would never never ever think of being ungrateful to them. I mean they're the reason why I'm alive. Well of course they're the reason I'm alive, but I mean still. Otherwise I would have killed myself years ago.

It's just a teenager thing. And from what I understand, most parents know they're being embarrassing. They just don't care because they know better.

I was embarrassed to be seen with the adults in my life as a teenager, and so was everyone else in my peer group. That's as normal as it gets. If you don't act and dress like a teenager, you're just not cool, and not to be seen with EVER. I used to try to control what my mum whore to parents evening (I think you guys on the other side of the pond call it parent teacher associations or something)...

Must be why I don't get it, I was so bullied when I was a teenager that I never developed into a "proper" one. Never learnt the codes and what the "cool" stuff was. Hence I also never learnt the dating process properly and that's big part of why my love life is unintresting
