Nah you've missed nothing Proc. I think we'll probably get the first teaser trailer in mid March sometime.
Well I shall be in the theater seat to watch it, whether it be funny or gruesome. Personally I am hoping for both.

I find the nails creepy.
Eh. Still waiting for the trailer to get the full vibe of where they are going with this. Depp looks like a cross between Nosferatu and Barnabas. Why would they go for a scary blend if they are going to push comedy marketing? Maybe comedy isn't the word, maybe they think it is quirky bizarre or something, like all the quirky Burton fans who like him but not Dark Shadows need to be reached?

I still predict we'll get our first trailer later this month. I don't think they're pushing this to be a comedy, as others have mentioned before, there has always been a certain level of cheekiness and camp to "Dark Shadows". I think the feel because Burton is involved is that they'll over do it to the point where the movie will be wrecked. Kind of like "Alice in Wonderland". The original script was wonderful and compelling...that changed when Burton started working on the project.

You know how impatient I get Admiral! I agree, the over the top Burton style is what worries me. I like the old Edward or Sleepy Hollow vibe, mildy quirky and creepy but room for suspense and scares or gore. Not the Alice parody stuff. Even Sweeney Todd just seemed to bizarre, singing while slitting people's throats. It works on stage but this duo has been too far off for too long now for me.
