Damn, I wonder why he wanted to leave. :(
I read speculation elsewhere that it was the extended 20+ episode order for this 3rd season, which may have left him feeling too 'tied up' for the year.

Who knows, he is now also doing Cadillac commercials here in the US...
Ah, that makes sense. Maybe Terri knows what other projects Ed has lined up.

You have no idea how much I wish I had info like that. KRAD would probably kill me, though. I know he had a movie called The Rainbow Tribe that was slated to hit a family film festival this week, but beyond that, I got nothing.

he could come back reconpixulated and Greg Germaine can have the part back. Shit like that worked fine on LEXX.

For some reason I laughed my ass off when they said Dr Blake and Dr Stark are getting married because I thought Thor and Iron Man were getting hitched.

Let me just get this off my chest after reading that blog entry:

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!! :scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream::scream:

There, all better. Damn I hope the reasoning of some of you guys here is correct and he'll be like Daniel Jackson and pop back in. I'll still watch the show but gods damn it, I'll miss him like hell! Hope Ed Quinn goes on to do more great work though, whatever he acts in.

Thus we see why there is no real death in sci-fi. Fans won't allow it and get all angry when it happens. They just hate change to no end.

I don't hate change, I love it, moves things along. It's just that I loved the character and while I really hate to see him go, I think it was a good death. If he doesn't come back, that will be that.

I'm not holding my breath waiting for Ed Quinn to come back. They are moving on without him. Did I miss something in the blog where they said they expected Stark to make a return? I wouldn't mind, but the fact they killed him off was brave and unique for recent SF.

I wouldn't be surprised if they pull a 'Tholian Web' on us, and have Stark pop up every now and then, most likely to Allison. With her being the only one to see him, no one will believe her. Except Carter, who's been there more times than I can count.

I have no doubt that Nathan Stark will return.

Eureka tends to do stand-alone episodes with an over-reaching arc through out the season to give the last few episodes of the season some scope.

In all honesty, to think Stark's permanently dead is the least likely of all the current options. Especially with no body and more than half of the current season left to air.

Just wait it out.

O' come on.... I've been expecting stark to be deleted somehow ever since that episode where carter and henry went back in time 5 years when carter and allison where married (she very much pregnant) and zoe graduating from highschool....

he had to be deleted....

Awesome episode, even though I accidentally spoiled myself on who would die (why the heck did I open this thread before watching? :scream:). What exactly happened to Stark there, where he froze and then turned into those particles? I didn't understand what those were supposed to be.

i actually think your right.... he looked stuck in time... and they were drifting farther and farther away from where he was....

they'll need another time episode to fetch him....

ok i may be wrong or this has been posted but right before stark died he said remember my ego is as big as this building that was the day before he died right or am i wrong

He was asking for confirmation that Stark said his "ego is as big as this building" the day before he died. Why he was asking that, on the other hand, I don't know. *shrug*

No, really?

In any case...

Yes, you're correct about that.

Actually, wrong on both counts.

Carter didn't even see Stark the loop before Stark died. Besides which, the last time Carter saw Stark, it was Carter who made the "ego big as building" comment.

The order was:

-Carter saw Stark, made comment, went to find Leo. Leo lied, Carter went to find Eva at her radiation filled treehouse

*Loop*

-Stark figures out, goes to Leo who explains, tries, fails

*Loop*

-Carter convinces, Stark believes, dies.

So the comment was made second to last loop, and it was Carter, not Stark who made it.

However, the question remains, how did Stark "remember" the comment?

Maybe Stark was hinting that he uploaded his personality into the mainframe, or some preserved himself in some other way?

I'm sure we'll find that out right about the time Carter and Ali have their first guilt-free intimate moment.
