ESPN Fantasy Football Anyone?

I'm going to lose in every one of my leagues this week.

My point total in the keeper league was about half of what is was the previous week. Didn't help that Frank Gore was injured less than a minute into the game, but he wasn't my only underachiever.

I really want to kick myself right now. I bench Mendenhall, but he ends up having a great game so far. And I might lose my fourth straight by mere points because of it - All after reshuffling my team into a contender.

I'm starting to hate Fantasy Football, and I'm not even through one season.

As the guy you may or may not lose to (can my kicker score 3 more points than your defensive player?!?), I'll say that I understand how you're feeling. The TBBS league is the only one out of my three where my bench doesn't store players who did significantly better than my starters. In one league, I could replace my QB, a RB, and a WR to gain a combined 29 points (which can put me back into the running against the guy who by far has the best team out there), and in another league, I can replace my QB with one of two other players and replace my defense to get a total of 17 points back, which would make me more comfortable (I'm sitting and waiting/ hoping for Aaron Rodgers to rack up less than 6 points. Yeah right. ) So I feel your pain. Hopefully Rodgers will never find the endzone, which will help one league, but can get them close enough to give Crosby some FG's, which will push me past you.

Meh. I'm gonna be 0-4 in my Yahoo league, so I'll gladly take my 2-2 ESPN record.

ETA: Whoa, maybe I spoke too soon. Antonio Gates had a huge game, so Team Villucci (gah, who the hell is that?) are within 14 of me, now, and they still have Chester Taylor going tomorrow night (I forgot about that). Keep feeding it to Peterson, Vikings!

In order for me to win in the Trek keeper league, I need points from Favre and the Vikes Defense. As a Packers fan, I'd rather not see that happen (I'd like to see Donald Driver score for me, though).

I also have Favre in another league, but as long as my opponent doesn't score too many points with Chester Taylor and Greg Jennings, I can wish for bad things to come Favre's way.

Don't stand a chance in my third league- that Saints defense killed me there.

D'oh!!!! Somebody dropped Clinton Portis, so I jumped all over him when he was still in waivers hoping no one else would make a move for him. I completely forgot about that move, and now he is sitting on my bench and is currently my best player this week.

Most of my players had bye weeks. With Brees out, I signed Kolb and put him in. Of course, McNabb's back.

Holy crap, this has been the best week I've had in either of my fantasy leagues this year. Still, I should have taken out Calvin Johnson and put Crayton at WR so I could slot Benson into WR/RB, but I figured Johnson was going to be okay, and Benson was going up against a tough defense.

I sucked in all 3 of my leagues. I'm pretty sure my bench players did well, though.

I was up by one point after stat adjustments going into tonight's game. I had the Jets defense, and benched them. Hopefully that doesn't hurt me. I've had two negative performances from my defense this year, and couldn't risk another one.

EDIT: Yeah, it looks like that benching was a good move. The Jets D is sitting at -1 points right now. I'd have lost my lead if I left them in. As long as there aren't more stat corrections to yesterday's games, I'll eek out a 1 point win...

My Destroyers got destroyed. I think I'm going to have to rework my game plan that I carried over from last season because I'm getting destroyed in all 3 of my leagues with supposedly better players than last year. My strategy consists of going to free agency ever week and replacing my team with players who are predicted to do better than my current crew, and I have consistantly had a team that underacheives. I think I need to start taking their average weekly points into account to because no one is matching what they're predicted to do. I'm not out of the thick of things yet, but I'm trying hard to fall out.
