ESPN Fantasy Football Anyone?

I haven't done fantasy football before, but this might be the year I finally do it.

I'll be watching.

Calhoun24, if you want to send me your email, I'll send you the invite.

Anyone else interested? The make or break date for this league is coming up fast, and we've got 5-6 spots to fill still.

Ok, last couple spots to fill, and the yearly league is ready to go. Anyone else up for the challenge? I mean, I'm going to win, but 2nd place is still up for grabs... ;)

Scout I am in for the yearly league.

Also Coaster has pushed the keeper date in the football league twice again back to August 19th and I really think that should be the last time it happens, or not fair to the people have set there keepers on time.

Garak: you're already in the yearly league through ESPN, so set there.

Sportzkid: send me your email again, i don't have it handy. will send invite from there. And yes, no more moving the keeper date, that's dumb. Once, because everyone forgot, is fine, but stop pushing it back. I don't like the draft that late, but it's alright, I guess.

Everyone else: 3 spots left in the yearly league!

Serously, do we have to have so many bench spots? That's fuckin' weak and makes it way too easy. This should be at least a bit challenging.

I can't get into the page from work to check, but believe it's set to the standard default at the moment, which isn't that high. Upthread it looks like 7 is mentioned as the number. Between bye weeks and injuries, doesn't seem unreasonable, as you'd want to attempt to have at least one option for most positions. Especially if you've got 2-3 people on a bye from your team on a certain week. Shouldn't have to make a decision between leaving a position open or dropping a key player from your team. At that point, you've got room to almost cover the positions every week (unless you draft badly and hit the same bye week too many times), with room to carry an injury or a project pick.

Fewer bench spots, IMO, waters things down for a different reason. When forced with having to drop a GOOD player in order to fill a TE or DEF spot, for example, some people won't drop them, so there will be a bunch of weeks with people using empty slots on the roster.

Let's be honest, anyway, the league won't be won because someone is carrying an extra WR they picked up in the 22nd round. It'll be won by being quick to the Waiver wire, or knowing to draft that WR in the 13th round instead.

Yeah, I'll reiterate: WEAK.

If you need to keep 7 people on your bench then you shouldn't be playing fantasy football in the first place.

I don't see a problem with 7 bench positions. As said earlier, between the byes and injuries, you need a deep bench.

Wish I would have seen coaster's keeper league trade offer earlier. I was in need of a good QB and would have taken the offer had LIU not taken the same offer before me.

Last spot for the Yearly football league still available, who wants in? Send me a PM with your email address...

wow, why did everyone in the Keeper league decide it was a good idea to trade their 6th round pick to Coaster? You guys realize you just made it pretty easy for him to win this one, right? He's now got 25% of the first non-keeper round.

I would have traded a draft pick also, but I was too late. I didn't realize at the time that he had other trades in the works. Gotta give him credit- he set things up pretty good for himself.
