ESPN Fantasy Football Anyone?

^I understand and respect your desire to keep things in one place. It's more efficient and organized that way. Personally, after using ESPN and Yahoo last year, I would love for someone to come up and explain what makes one better over the other. Perhaps the only reason is what accounts you signed up with and more people probably signed up with Yahoo (Email and all that good stuff) than ESPN. Other than that, I don't understand this whole thing with interfaces and user friendliness. The only reason I suggested switching over was because I do want to be in a fantasy football league (Non keeper, unless I can guarantee of getting good stud players in the first round, but then I'm ignorant on that whole thing anyway) and I'm flexible either way. Really though I just don't care and don't see a difference. I just really enjoy playing Fantasy Football and want to do it again this year.

How does changing over change any of that, though? The espn league I set up isn't a keeper league, and you can use whatever email account you want. Just trying to figure out why you want to go through the effort to change the league format after I've set it up, especially if you "just don't care and don't see a difference"

Now that Yahoo has copied the big ESPN offerings (live stats for free, keeper league options), there really isn't a huge difference, other than differences in draft interface, and that's just personal preference, both do some things better than the other. ESPN lets you customize the league a bit more, i think, but pretty similar.

Like I said, I've got one set up and ready to go, if people send me their info to join. If not, I'll just scrap it and play in my other 2 leagues. Either way, needs to be decided pretty soon, as the draft is in a couple weeks, and I don't want to be stuck trying to beg people to sign up at the last minute, again...

It doesn't, but given a few people in this thread have already said they like one over the other, I'm just showing my flexibility, as in it really doesn't matter what interface we use.

Honestly, I haven't done fantasy football on ESPN before, only Yahoo, so that's what I'm comfortable with. I'd be fine with trying out ESPN if that's what everyone else wants to do.

I'm not really interested in keeper leagues, though.

I'm waiting to see what's going on with one of my town's bar leagues. I played in 4 leagues last year and that was one too many. One of my bar leagues is switching to Yahoo (from Fanball.com, which was a horrid sight to play out of), but the other's up in the air. Our Commish seems to have pocketed the $2400 that was paid in last year, so unless that gets settled, I'm thinking that league may fold. If it does fold, I'd be interested in playing. Hopefully, I'll find out soon.

No one sent out a reminder, but I think that deadline might even be today. If so, might need to have the Commish do something to push that back, so at least a few people have keepers set. I did mine at the end of the season, just so I'd have SOMETHING in case i forgot...

Looks like I did select my keepers, but would have liked to tweak it a bit (not sure why I put the keeper tag on Brady Quinn). It's not as messed up as my baseball keeper picks were, though.

Even though it's a month away, I realized that I'll probably be working the night of the draft, so I'll have to pick my top picks (something I really didn't feel like doing). Oh well.

I did announce that I set back the keeper deadline in this post http://www.trekbbs.com/showpost.php?p=3168964&postcount=31 Also did not issue final reminder because forgot and Coaster is the main commish as well. Wonder if he still wants to run it?

I will set it back one final time to August 5th.
