ESPN Fantasy Football Anyone?

I'm not surprised it's from ESPN, but they've opened up Fantasy Football already. It's early but right after the draft, I guess it's not too early to prepare. Were we going to pull a Baseball and go from Yahoo to ESPN For Fantasy Football this year?

Yeah, you might be. Honestly, not a whole lot of differences between the two. ESPN lets you control things more, and has live scoring, and IMO a better draft interface than the Yahoo system.

Definitely too early, but it's open, so I set it up, anyway...

Live scoring is the only reason I want to switch. Otherwise, I would be perfectly happy with yahoo.

i just don't think either interface is different enough to really matter. The ESPN draft is a little more visual, which helps.

Biggest draw for me is that, since we started doing keeper leagues for baseball and football, I have to be on ESPN for those, so having everything in one place makes it 100x easier to keep track of all my teams (usually 2-3 leagues per sport). Going back and forth between both, it's harder to keep up, so I'm transitioning everything i run to ESPN...

No, I still like Yahoo better.

The live scoring really doesn't matter, and TrekBBS has a long history there.

I'll start a league there in August.

If you buy Stat Tracker (10 bucks I think) on Yahoo, you can get live scoring for all your leagues. Live scoring is essential to any fantasy football season, IMO.

I've never used ESPN before, but it sounds alright.

Live scoring is nice, but I usually muddle through without it. I like Yahoo's interface better, the way it scores your players, more players per team and the ability to keep track of free agents you may pick up later.

That, and we've had a league there since 02 or 03.

It doesn't matter to me. I'm in the ESPN Keeper League, and I'm sure we'll have enough people to fill out a few leagues.

all the talk of more players, bench spots, etc: you can fully customize the ESPN leagues. I can force you to pick a Left Tackle if I want. Really not a lot of other arguments, as they seem to be pretty similar to the ESPN system. Just inertia and liking what you know. Either way, the ESPN league is up and running, we've got 4 so far.

At least we use water for necessary needs. Fantasy Football or anything like that is purely hobby and won't kill you if you don't utilize it.

ESPN doesn't bother me, I just like yahoo too!
