Episodes you refuse to watch

I won't lie, watching that episode last week brought back all my A/T'P feels that I thought I'd left in high school :p

But objectively, given T'Pol was already in the middle of her Trellium addiction, I dunno how suited she should've been to be anyone's caregiver. If anything, one could argue her addiction played a part in her decision.

(Hey, if I've used the Trellium addiction to toss stones at T/T'P back in the day, it's only fair to toss em at my own 'ship :p )

Let him who's never been trellium addicted toss the first stone...

I will be the first to admit that I never liked the Trell-D addiction storyline. As a TnTer I've always thought Trip and T'Pol could have moved forward without it. But then again, I saw that ship potential from the first non-handshake in Broken Bow.
Damn lazy writers!

Not the first. I always though that her reasons for the addiction were very un-Vulcan like. Something along the lines of the mission, or my Captain needed me would have been more appropriate.

She did it for selfish reasons. Is that what you find unVulcan about it?

Addiction is only a problem when your supply lines are bothered, and what you're willing to sacrifice to resume normal flow of ####.

Now, what it is that you happen to be addicted to, is another matter entirely.

People who are addicted to work don't have a problem of cash flow, they may have a bunch of other problems though, like a shorter lifespan due to body weariness. But at least they'll die rich.

And Chakotay plays with coloured sand to make Arts & Crafts ...! Tom Paris likes shitty B movies from 3 hundred years ago ...! Harry Kim practically lives on the Holodeck ... what's with the Men of VOYAGER? Why can't they be into anything COOL???

You have a point.

Her reason for doing Trellium is that she liked it.

Addiction aside, if she stopped it would be painful or terminal, she continued because it was enjoyable, and that's not selfish.

Being impaired while on duty is very selfish, and also criminal.

But then Scotty was always three sheets to the wind.

Here's how rat-assed Montgomery Scott was in any given episode... He's not Scottish.

He had an old dusty bottle of scotch that he sacrificed to the Kelvans.
