Episodes you refuse to watch

All the rubbing scenes in decon were really a waste of story time and they were not even remotely erotic, which makes you wonder what they were there for, in the first place.

They were there to show decon procedures. They weren't meant to be "erotic".

The decon sequences were anything but purely functional, in nature. It's pretty obvious that they were intended to be "sexy," even if they never quite succeeded at it. Same with Jolene Blalock's nude hand-bra scenes. They were so pedestrian, so lame in their execution that they really should not have bothered. But, oh! Won't the ratings go through the roof, with Jolene in that condition? I'm all for sexing up the show, and Jolene's lack of inhibition regarding that was wonderful. At the same time, there was never any sophistication about it, whenever it was attempted. Even the famous shower scene with Trip seemed like it was directed by someone too old, or unfamiliar with sexuality. Casting an actress willing to do whatever it takes to get ratings going was brilliant, but what they did with it ... wasn't.

This was so awfully done. It was actually a turn off.

How often did we see two men rubbing gel into each other?

I may suspect that's the only reason they let women in space.

Straight men were too homophobic to clean random space herpies off each other, and they all died out.

Why would all the men be straight unless it was a starfleet homophobic policy to only recruit straight men? Hardly the enlightened future we're told about.

How was I supposed to know you're not a mind reader?

I said homosexuals (in the present and the future) are not homophobic.

You said there are no homophobes in the future.

Therefore there are no homosexual homophobes in the future.

QED.

Yeah, that's brilliant!

Always have someone who wants to hijack a thread for their agenda. Back on topic -TATV. However much I like TNG, I will always be disgruntled that Berman and Braga decided this was the way they wanted to end the series.
