Episodes They Should've Done

I dunno. Something fun. Ever have any ideas about episodes you'd like to have seen?

In Theory irked me so much, because of how wrong about Data Jenna is, that I wanted Data to rebound by dating Dr. Selar, & having it go wonderfully, maybe as a small part of another Data's Day type episode, where maybe he's not the entire focus, because let's be honest, an emotionless android relationship with a Vulcan could potentially make for a dull stand-alone story lol, but as an aside to some ensemble plots it could've been very fun.

The one where Riker finally takes his own ship, and Data takes over as first officer. :nyah:
They did that one. It's called Future Imperfect... Psych! It was FAKE all along! lol

It's kind of funny they pulled that fake out, & so soon after BoBW (like 6 or 7 episodes later) because isn't that exactly what we thought might happen after the Borg encounter? Picard leaves, eventually taking a more ceremonial role, Troi goes with, cuz well he needs his therapist after that, then everybody else shifts up

Honestly, I think that episode is deliberately taking the piss with the viewers lol

I always thought Geordi should have had a romance that worked out, at least for one episode. And, to me, his misinterpretation of Leah Brahms' hologram was mostly due to the computer's margin of error; his behavior with her in the flesh was never "creepy" in my book. It seemed like an insult to his character (and maybe his race) that he never had a love life.

What if he reconnects with an old Academy love? They had a good relationship and all, but it was time and distance, etc that broke them up. Nothing he did, nothing weird. Just life happens kinda thing. They reunite years later a la Same Auld Lang Syne (

), except she need not be in a loveless marriage.

Some kind of explanation why Guinan made hand signals in Ten Forward when Q was on the Enterprise in 'Q Who'.
More information what happened to other survivors from Enterprise-C.
What did Moriarty do after he and the Countess went into the holobox.
Was it ever mentioned what Scotty did after 'Relics'?

EDIT to the post above....
I thought this was about things they should have done, hard to get an episode you of the things I mentioned.

A Mirror Universe episode tends to spring to mind.

Based on Sela's comments in "Redemption II" I assume that after Tasha attempted escape, the rest of the Ent-C survivors were all executed en masse.

Not strictly TNG, but I would have loved a Garak/Picard confrontation, where Garak with his cutting sarcasm demolishes Picard's preconceptions about humans having a more evolved sensibility in the 24th century. Perhaps on a mission to unveil a dark Federation secret or so.

I believe something like this is done in the novels (but I don't read those).

I always kind of felt like that could've been a direction in Identity Crisis. It just never got there.

Somehow I doubt that... Tasha would not have tried to escape if it would have endangered others.

Picard promised he'd return to the "Masterpiece Society" planet in 6 months if anyone still wanted to leave. Was there ever any follow up, in novels or whatever? I'd like to have seen an episode about that, with Hannah Bates and others deciding to go.

Yes, Geordi got along well with Susanna in that episode, and with Ensign Ro, Hannah Bates, Aquiel. Even Christy Henshaw finally dated him once I think.

That suggestion was the original plan, but Connor decided, given Hannah's plea that it would just mean 6 more months of pain and anguish, to just let them go and thet would be welcome back if they chose to return.

A bunch of them did leave with the Enterprise, according to the final scene with Picard and Riker. So there was no need to return to that world.

I mean, I don't know how much we can trust Sela's account, but this was it.
Sela said:
"She was among the few who survived. They were all to have been executed after interrogation, but a Romulan general saw her, & he became enamored with her. So a deal was struck. Their lives would be spared if she became his consort. I was born a year later."

"One night when I was 4, she came to me, bundled me up, & told me to stay quiet as we left the compound"

That maybe narrows the possibilities some. Her continued compliance & consortium was what kept any survivors alive to begin with. She was abused by her captor for 5 years after capture before she tried to escape. A lot of dynamics can change after 5 years. I'd think there either weren't enough survivors left alive by then, for her to go on prioritizing them over herself & her daughter, with continued concubinage, or whoever was left agreed or understood that she should no longer have to, for their sakes, & she finally accepted that her wellbeing & that of her daughter had become a greater priority by then.

Sadly, if she'd been put down in an escape attempt, there most certainly would've been interrogation of anyone she'd had personal ties with, like the remaining survivors she'd spent 5 years protecting, and any agreement that she'd been upholding to keep them alive would be over & done, as would they be.

We could be talking about as few as one or two people by then, & they may have been willing to accept that fate for her sake, but I too imagine there being no more survivors left alive, by some short time after Tasha was killed, if there'd been any left by then at all. Her consortium deal was the only thing keeping them alive, & it was abandoned by her.

There's a lot we don't know, especially since we don't know how honest Sela's recap was anyway. Plus, four-year-old kids aren't the most reliable of witnesses.

Else, this is probably how it would have gone down:

Riker: Captain, we promised to return to Moab Four in six months. It's been over a full year since then. Shouldn't we go there?
Picard: Certainly .... after you've contacted that Malkorian woman that's still waiting for your phone call. After all, A promise is a promise, eh, Number One?
<Silence. Then both start to chuckle>
Riker: Helm, set course for Risa!
