Episodes that you CAN'T watch again.

SG-17

I discovered today that I cannot stand to watch the season 6 episode, Paradise Lost because the bird sounds, especially the higher pitched ones, hurt my ears.

What are some episodes from the three series that you cannot watch again for whatever reason?

Whichever episode that was that introduced Vala – the one with her and Daniel on the Prometheus, with all the painful "flirty" banter. Dear god, they were so annoying.

"Emancipation" and the fan favorite "Lazarus". The former I often get nods of approval for stating; the latter I get looks of bewilderment. I find "Lazarus" appalingly cheesy despite its tough subject matter. I just cannot. Stand it.

"Singularity" would be on the list too if it weren't for the fact that during rewatches I feel like I'm skipping a major stepping stone. I never overly cared for the character of Cassandra but missing her entry beat always feels too bizarre. Otherwise? Ditto. Cheesy as hell. Cannot take it.

"Family Ties" from the final season is the last offender. Look, I like Vala. I like "Prometheus Unbound" too -- the episode Saquist is agreeing to be terrible up there. But the episode with her father? Holy mother of Apophis, dreadful.

All of those are from the first season with the exception of the last one. Goes to show which season I find the weakest. Although even that first season had some really incredible episodes.

SG-1

Politics - Totally unnecessary to watch if you've watched the show several times.
---

Bane - I've never been a fan of "infected" stories

One false step - No, just...no, those aliens...

Show and tell - "Mother says...", never found the Re'tu to be interesting

Out of mind - Mostly a clip show episode
---

The Light - So meaningless

Prodigy - Not a Hailey fan

---

Proving ground - It was a test all along? Hm...never saw that coming...

---

Disclosure - Like Politics

---

Birthright - Just don't like it

---

Citizen Joe - More clip show

---

The scourge - I hate bugs

---

Bounty
Bad Guys

Family Ties - Bad bad timing of this episode right before the two final episodes. I've always wished the three final episodes could've have been a epic conclusion. Instead this episode took the tension away. Good thing you can choose not to watch it ever again.

SGU

Pain

"Red Sky" due to the terrible, terrible science. Usually they at least make the attempt to acknowledge real physics, but this was like something out of VOY or ENT.

"Emancipation" because, well.

SGU
-Air, Part III
-Everything between Light and Time
-Everything between Time and Justice
-Faith
-Pain
-Cloverdale
-That one episode where the people from Faith return
-The episode the Lucian Alliance attacked the Pentagon in
-The episode where all the Lucian Alliance dudes save Varro die

Family Ties was pretty bad. I'm a huge fan of Fred Willard from Waiting for Guffman and Best In Show, but even he couldn't save that ep.

I can tolerate Family Ties mainly for the not-so-subtle bitter injokes they throw in about the show's cancellation. Like this one:

Carter: "The Stargate program doesn't recieve the same support from those in authority that it used to."
Jacek: "Why not?"
Dr. Lee (working in background): "Eureka!"

Also, Teal'c being fooled into seeing The Vagina Monologue is pretty amusing.

As a standalone episode, it is OK, but as a said before, the timing in the first broadcast = horrible

Along those lines: Most Jaffa-centric episodes. Also boring as sin. Those guys somehow manged to be even-more-uninteresting Klingons, and that's quite a feat.

The Jaffa are great when they aren't the focus of an episode, but when they get the A plot I just pray that Bra'tac gets plenty of screen time.

SG-A has several episodes that I hate. Irresistable and Irresponsible jump to mind first, then the one where Shepard is in the time dilation field and has to fight the invisible monster so the Ancients are meditate or some other silly crap... whatever that one's called.

It's been too long since I've watched a bad episode of SG-1, or maybe I've just blocked them out, but Emancipation is the only one that I can remember off hand.

Any jaffa episode, in particular featuring bra'tac prominently. Also the episodes with the Star-Trek stars Schultz, Sirtis, Trineer, Blalock, and de Lancie.
