The Rikers obviously aren’t teaching Kestra Betazoid traditions. I heard no dongs during dinner.
If you grew up with Lwaxana Troi hovering over you and pestering you about Betazoid traditions would you want to follow most of them?

Till they bring you a corpse as a gift. The Kzinti are just kitty cats. Just leave a bowl of milk and some treats outside and they would have no issues with them.
I don’t take it literally that Riker being called commander by Picard meant that he was demoted. Kestra called Picard captain, even though he’s an admiral. Its all just a force of habit. However, since Troi said they lived on starships, not starship, what happened to his command of the Titan? Riker is still in active reserve in Starfleet. So, was he removed from command of the Titan? Was it destroyed? Or did he leave the Titan voluntarily?
Bar like happened with Picard, Riker got another command after the Titan was either destroyed or decommissioned. My understanding is that, though Starfleet makes an effort to have married couples placed on the same assignment, it's not always possible. So it might be that Troi and Riker weren't always serving on the Titan together, either by assignment or by request.
You'd probably move to Vasquez Rocks and start drinking and vaping. If you grew up with Lwaxana Troi hovering over you and pestering you about Betazoid traditions would you want to follow most of them?![]()
Well you spray them with some water in that case, saying “bad kitty.”Till they bring you a corpse as a gift.

Hugh broke the treaty by attempting to lead the XBs to rebel
Picard lives on Earth not on a world harassed by the Kzinti.
Ratso don't care.Technically Narissa rounded up the XBs first and executed them unnecessarily. Hugh was the only one rebelling initially, and that was by helping Picard and Soji escape. It was only after the execution of the XBs that Hugh was provoked to rebel more openly.
Earth v Nepenthe. Location Location Location.Like being harassed by the Tal Shiar is any better.
With the books? Fat chance.Late to the party (as always) but is there an explanation for Thad being their firstborn as opposed to Tasha in the books? I thought they were trying to stay consistent?

There's only one book that's consistent with the show, and that's only because there was extensive coordination (and, no, to those among you waiting to pounce, I am not saying that book is canon. It's just very consistent.) The old litverse novels have their own continuity and ZERO connection to PIC.Late to the party (as always) but is there an explanation for Thad being their firstborn as opposed to Tasha in the books? Ha! We should probably stop now before the mods ban us for being rude to the honourable Kzinti race.Riker should just set up laser pointers all around his house. That will keep any attack kzinti occupied for hours. However i wonder if when Riker said they were having trouble with Kzinti wit was because they kept sitting on his coffee table and passive aggressively knocking stuff off it.
Which book would that be?
