I don't know about that, he looked to me to be sizing Raffi up for the airlock when sat back down and said as much which made Raffi pull a face and turn to look at him, then the EMH told them about Agnes and he raced for the medibay.

I think he is going to feel like a bit of a donkey when he finds out.
I'll have to look for that on rewatch.

- Now that's how you write "pineapple cake". ;)

- Nice to see Riker and Troi again. Looks like everyone has been touched by tragedy. Now what of Crusher? I suspect that Georgi and Work are fine, with Worf being captain of the Enterprise.

- Will we see Riker and Troi back on active duty? The door's open.

- Nice to hear some piano as the background music.

One issue with this though is every generation, your number of ancestors doubles. Figuring an average generation time of 29 years (which is what geneticists use) five generations back is about 145 years ago, which would be some time in the 19th century for most of us. We have 32 ancestors then. But go back 400 years and you have 16,384. No human is going to put that family tree together.

I can trace a part of my family all the way back to the 17th century, which actually is 400 years ago. If I get to pass that information down to my descendants and they add their bits and pieces, by the time of Picard they will have a family tree that goes back 800 years!

I always thought it was Quad = Quadrillion bits or 1000 Terabytes. I.e. they have so much data in everything a quadrillion bits or bytes were now the base unit.
So.... Petabytes? We already have machines with hundreds of petabytes on them, so that seems small for a futuristic starship. I always assumed “Quad” was a deliberate attempt to use an fictitious unit that wouldn’t seem ridiculous in ten years.

They just wanted to be first to date themselves faster than any other sci-fi franchise. I guess. Or they don't even want to try.

Probably the most well-balanced, complete and satisfying episode of the season, even if a feeling of intense nostalgia might be playing more of a part in my assessment that it should. Agreed that it's some of Sirtis's best acting (that I've seen). The newcomer daughter put in just the right level of tomboy performance without being too coy or cute about it. Hugh's death speech ended with too quick a passing head thud, but the action scenes were spot on, and that Romulan vixen kind of channeled Michelle Forbes at her best this time. Pill impressed mightily as the conflicted doctor, but I must confess confusion as to why a Vulcan mind meld was construed as a depiction of actual events in the future, unless I misinterpreted that scene. My thoughts to your thoughts, not "here's what's gonna happen" if the synths take over. Anyway, a very rich, poignant episode. A real "love letter" to the fans... :p

Space viagra! Tastes like minty bunnycorns!
... and you can fart Rainbows!

All due respect, pease someone tell this man, that if people need a circumstantial explanation of his brilliant idea then it wasn't so brilliant. As I read here, for many people this scene has no sense at all.
I read now a "message" of the whole Hugh's story as "Don't lay your hope on humans' relations, humans will use you and leave behind".

Still think it would have sense if XBs leading by Seven will take control on situation and resurrect Hugh and other victims. (Going re-watch "I, Borg" 4th time. It turned to be a very inspiring episode.)
