The Doctor Who News Page reports that the title of Episode 12 has been revealed as "The Pandorica Opens".

It's going to be given a special advance preview showing at BAFTA's Princess Anne Theatre on June 16, followed by a Q&A with Moffat, Smith, Gillan and Arthur Darvill.

Assuming the episode airs on the 19th, that places the finale on track for airing on the 26th, corresponding with the date indicated at the end of Flesh and Stone.

So I guess if Arthur Darvill is going to be at the Q&A for this episode, we can assume that Rory will either still be traveling with the Doctor at season's end or else we'll go back to him at some point?

^^Indeed it was. And given the Doctor's comment in Flesh and Stone about a "big bang" being the cause of the cracks, it's reasonable to assume this will be the title.

After all, The Pandorica Opens has been the rumoured title for episode 12 since before that line was first spoken in The Eleventh Hour. And since that is now official, it stands to reason The Big Bang will be the finale's title.

The way spoilers are going fast and furious these days (I wasn't even looking for spoilers and I came across a headline trumpeting the role a recently-announced guest star may be playing) I'm half expecting to see the Sun or Doctor Who News Page announcing it next week as "Amy Becomes The Rani and the Doctor Blows Up Skaro Again". (Note - I just made that up - I'm not suggesting anything about what the storyline might actually be!)

Seriously, though, I agree there haven't been many surprises title-wise this year. The Lodger was pretty much a given for that episode months ago. Assuming 12 and 13 form a two-parter, though, I wouldn't be too surprised if The Pandorica Closes ends up being the title.

Treating titles as spoilers is going too far in my book. Usually the only thing that ever gets 'spoiled' is the Enemy of the Week, and more likely than not they were already featured in a trailer or three weeks or months beforehand.

The Pandorica Opens sure can't be a spoiler - we don't even know what a Pandorica is!

I'm not particularly impressed by The Pandorica Opens or The Big Bang. They sound a little uninspired.

I agree on "The Big Bang" but not "The Pandorica Opens." While we don't know what the Pandorica is, it does invoke Pandora's Box and the implication is certainly a startling one. Because of that, "The Pandorica Opens" appeals to me.

I'm going to be in London for that episode if it airs on the 19th but then I will miss the finale as I will be travelling elsewhere in Europe.

I really hope Moffet can hide any detailed info on the finale.

Just for once I'd love to see everyone taken by complete surprise by any guest appearances or returning monsters.
