Entourage S4

Temis the Vorta

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Just finished it, funny as ever. I seem to recall complaints it wasn't as good as previous years. Well it did sag somewhat in the middle when they lost the Bill Walsh/Medellin plot thread, but on the plus side, Eric finally got more focus - he is supposed to be the lead character, right?

And the way things were left, there's a rift between him and Vince, due to Eric having been right about everything but the groupthink everyone gets into, because their friendship is "everything," muzzled the poor guy. How much money did he lose?

Doing something different with the Eric-Vince relationship would help bring those two into focus. They've tended to be too overshadowed by their scene-stealing co-stars.

The best part, of course, was Billy Walsh's insanity. Plus the Ari & Lloyd show is as great as ever.

But they could stand to focus more on Drama's TV series - there must be a lot of comedy they could mine from what is presumably a fatuous and overblown cop drama.

Glad to hear you like it Temis. I love Entourage and I'm really looking forward to it. This is one of those shows that I only watch from Netflix and hopefully I'll get to it in the next few weeks.

So it's just us two? :D Wow, I guess this show isn't very popular here! Funny how the other premium cable shows have a following but not this one...

^ It's not just the two of you. I'm seriously looking forward to season 5. And I also need to pick up season 4 on DVD. Or I might just wait for the Blu-ray release, whenever that'll happen.

So what did you guys thing of the first ep?

I personally thought it was quite entertaining. It's really nice to have Vince and the gang back. ;)

You're not alone, but I'm finishing The Unit before coming back to Entourage. I got the Season 4 DVDs, just haven't had the chance to view 'em yet. Can't wait to see how the Medellin/Billy Walsh crazyness works out.

I don't get HBO so I can't comment for another year or so :D but I like the fact that at long last, the putative lead characters - Vince and Eric - are getting some development instead of remaining sidelined by their scene-stealing cohorts, Ari and Drama. Eric got some nice development in S4 and I think S5 should be the Season of Vince. Time to stop being the laid-back cool dude and actually come to grips with the competing forces of friendship vs commerce vs art.

I just watched it last weekend--I'm crazy about this show. :D I'm a little over Medellin like many are, but I was still hooked this season. The only thing that got a little old was Turtle and Drama--after four seasons, their clownish competitiveness is a little stale. They both need to grow up a bit. I'm glad to see Drama finally has found a woman!

I like how Eric is still grounded. He really doesn't get into the Hollywood BS--he calls crap as he sees it. And he was right about Medellin--I love how the season ended.

Walsh is awesome--he cracks me up. Such a nut! And Ari and Lloyd are great--the best episode was probably "The WeHo Ho" (at least I think that's the one), where Lloyd is broken-hearted after a break up and Ari has to go win back Tom for him. That cracked me up to no end. These guys really are dependent that on their assistants though.

I also like how Ari will say all of these offensive, horrible things but won't condone cheating. Even sharks have a moral code I guess.

Yeah, I was hoping to see more of that, too, and was so wishing they'd bring Ed Burns back. :D

I'm so bummed I don't get HBO and won't be able to see Season 5 for like, a year. :(
