Why? You can put one large main deflector on the secondary hull and a smaller secondary deflector on the saucer. I don't see the need to have multiple dishes on the secondary hull, to be honest.

Not completely. I often have the same effect on others, especially if I start speaking Latin. Although every once in a while my mind doesn't catch onto the words as quickly as I'd like.
