Enterprise NX-01

Hi,

I have a 1/350 scale of the Polar Lights series NX-01 Enterprise. I'm not skilled at the producing the aztecing design of the hull plates so I was wondering what uniform color I can paint it which will be light enough so as not to obscure the decals but metallic enough to give it a sci-fi feel to it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The closest color to the basic hull of NX-01 that I can think of is actually called "Steel" by paint companies like Testors. Maybe a base of Steel with a wash of Gunmetal to bring out the details of the hull plating...

Thank you, Forbin! I have been building kits for years and those once steady hands of mine are not, unfortunately. I was about to produce a custom template but I have now been rescued from that labor.
