JJ reading Star Trek fans' opinions? I think we're safe.

You clearly haven't seen any of his recent interviews where he explains that he has heard the criticisms by some Trek fans despite how well the movie was reviewed and that he plans to reflect upon those criticisms in the twelfth film. JJ is a bright guy he isn't so arrogant that he won't listen to what works and what doesn't.

That's the same interview where he says that he thinks the brewery worked just fine as Engineering.

He may have heard us, but he ain't listening.

Not everyone disliked the Engineering, I thought it was great myself, a busy Engineering section stuffed with pipes machinery and the like is a realistic one. I am not the only one who thought it was great there are many who liked it and many more who accepted it without any complaint.

So, you think a proper depiction of the engine room of a 23rd Century starship is a 20th Century brewery? The engine room of the Titanic looks futuristic compared to that!
