Enterprise-A damaged saucer from TUC

Incredibly, with all my starship nerd knowledge, I just found out that the saucer used for the closeup scene in TUC when the photon torpedo rips through the hull of the Enterprise-A's saucer section, was a separate model built for that scene (notice the lack of the impulse crystal and impulse engine housing at the rear):

And even though you can't really tell from that photo, this saucer model was large. Like, Generations Enterprise-D saucer-crash-landed-on-Veridian-III large.

Does anyone know what eventually happened to this model? I doubt ILM kept it, since TUC would be the last time the Enterprise-A would ever be filmed.

The Reddit post says it was on display at ILM. It's obviously a relatively recent photo (like, more recent than 1994 when they started making TNG films). The walls look similar to the ones in the photos of the models from Galaxy Quest that are in their office. Unless it's come up for auction, I expect it's still there.

Since those partial models were built because they needed closeup shots and battle damage without affecting the original model, they're usually of a larger scale. But there's no reason why the individual pieces need to be in scale with each other, since they are created to focus on different sections of the ship in entirely different shots.

It's too bad that it wasn't available for "Cause and Effect" to be used for the USS Bozeman. But I would guess that it would have been too large to make modifications to it like adding a nacelle, which would have been huge.
