Enterprise 2009 Corridor.

I've always been more of a shader/lighting/rendering guy, so I wanted to practice some modeling. With that, I thought I would start on the 2009 Enterprise corridor, because it looks simple enough to do, but yet has interesting shapes to learn the ropes on.

So far I have most of the modules modeled to make any corridor you need. I still need to do one more door module, a "jigsaw" door.

Nice!! I really love the way you've lit this, as it's easier on the eyes than the bright white look we get in the films. And this is from someone who's pretty happy with the way the nuEnterprise looks both inside and out.

I hope you do the curved corridor and the bridge.

Pixel,
Great render of the modules! Had a funny idea, it would be fun to see the old stage 9 sets dressed with these modules. Any way love the work! Keep it up!

regards,
Chuck

Great look! It looks quite pleasing, in terms of the materials.
Are the little doorframe icons and status screen your only textures?

The doorframe icons are also geometry. The only texture is the PCAP screen.

Well done, sir!

One last question, then I'll leave you be. How did you create the illusion of imperfections in the floor? The ripple-like effects?

Best.

It's simply a perlin noise texture in the bump map of the floor, set to low strength. You could also have lots of polgyons on the floor and displace with with a perlin noise if you wanted actual floor imperfections.
