ENTER- TV & Media Avatar Contest: The Queen(s)

I hate to say it, but Emma Frost isn't *actually* a Queen - not a royal leader person... She just called herself "White Queen"

that's just payback for disallowing 007 isn't it?

No (and I didn't enter 007 last time anyway! Steed and Peel...) - it's right there in the first post, royal top of the tree, not just people named Queen...

I mean, if she married Dr Doom at any point, then she'd qualify since he's King of Latveria now and again...

Galadriel wasn't a queen, technically. She and Celeborn never took royal titles.
Technically true, but contextually, no problem: she's royal, daughter and granddaughter of kings, even though she didn't adopt the title it's definitely due to her, and she's known as the Queen by everybody else (the Dwarves in particular)
True enough.

Not that it helped narrowing down my choices.

FWIW, Kai, out of those options I'd pick Galadriel. :techman:

Really, or do you just don't want to split the "Snow White's Evil Stepmother" vote?*

*Although, in all honesty, the Disney version would get more votes than the OUAT version.

I hadn't actually considered that (I don't watch OUAT, so I didn't know who she was supposed to be), but you're right that the Disney one would probably get more votes. I just think Galadriel would probably get more votes than any of your other ideas.

*that* White Queen's OK...

Halfway through the contest now.

Hm, come to think of it, I better get mine in

I'm guessing these are out :p:

But Mrs Windsor is fine:

Correct

After last week I thought I'd check before entering and making a right royal tit of myself again.

How about the Borg Queen Dave? Would she count or would that come under the Alien/Bee bylaw?
Hm, I think I'd allow her - despite the Borg supposedly being like an insect hive, they do clearly have a hierarchy, and she is a specific sentient individual that is their declared Head of State.[/QUOTE]

I thought that may be the case, not that I'll enter her mind.

And who is she?

Would this be permissible, Lonemagpie?

Okay, you got me thinking. While it is true, out of my four options, Galadriel would propably get the most votes (sorry, Hippolyta, but I'm afraid your version from the WW animated movie isn't that recognizable). On the other hand, you reminded me of the fact Galadriel didn't actually have a royal title, therefore being a de facto queen, but not an official one. And, although Lonemagpie allowed her in, I started to think. There actually was a prominent queen in The Lord Of The Rings, but she didn't get that title until very late in the third movie. Arwen Undómiel became Queen of Arnor and Gondor when she married King Aragorn. Therefore, I've decided on this for my entry:

I'm guessing these queens aren't allowed:

:p

So instead I'm gonna go with Eleanor of Aquitaine:
