ENTER: TV & Media Avatar Contest: "That actor should be in Star Trek!"

1. An actor or actress that has NEVER been in Star Trek. Not even one-time guest stars (Famke Janssen), bit parts (Paul McGillion) or cameos (Christian Slater).

2. Whatever he or she is doing in a movie makes you think that they would be good in Star Trek in a similar role. So it's not enough that you want an actor in Star Trek; your avatar must be of a role that makes you think that.

3. Sci fi and fantasy roles are acceptable in this contest, so "Firefly" away if you must.

4. You may enter up to two avatars.


So for example, here's my first entry:

Russell Crowe as Captain Jack Aubrey in Master & Commander made me think he would be good as a Starfleet captain.

We don't really know the status of Kirk's family in the new alternate reality. If George was older, then I want this to be George.

If not, it can be his half-brother or step-brother, or whatever.

Whoever it is, I want him to be jerky, annoying, and Kirk's worst enemy since he was a kid. Not because he's bad, but because he's BETTER than Kirk at everything, which is the only thing that would make Jim angry.

And he would be...

Ryan Seacrest.

Tell me you wouldn't quickly hate him just as much as James does. Talk about living through the character, it would be PERFECT!

This one is doing pretty good considering. This forum has the least interest/entries of other forum avatar contests. I personally think it was a good topic/contest.

who I've always imagined as a tough, uncompromising Gordon Ramsay-esque admiral with a Sheffield accent, I'll also nominate the obligatory and now traditional Trek alien-totty-of-the-week / she-who-would-look-hot-in-a-Starfleet-uniform (delete where applicable):

The one and only India de Beaufort, she who makes even "Kröd Mändoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire" watchable.
