Thanks for all the votes, everyone.

This weeks theme, inspired by the series from which my winning avatar hails, is all about gadgets. Show of your favorite cool gizmos from media. However, NO WEAPONS. The function must be not-combat related. Sci-fi and fantasy will be allowed this time.

Bring 'em on!

How do you define combat vs non-combat? For example, one could argue that almost everything in Batman's utility belt is a weapon and even the Sonic Screwdriver has been used in offensive (as opposed to defensive) ways from time to time.

Can't decide, either Dick Tracy's watch or Maxwell Smart's shoe.

If its primary purpose is to serve as a means of offense, then it is not eligible. So, Batarang: no. Sonic Screwdriver: yes

Futurama - the F-Ray, sort of like an x-ray, flashlight gadget.

That would seem to knock out the following entries so far:

While KITT certainly had plenty of weapons, I wouldn't say it's primary purpose was offense - more like a supercomputer on wheels and a pursuit vehicle.

Pursuit vehicle itself implies an offensive (as opposed to defensive) purpose. It's not an escape car.

OK. I'll submit an alternative to my entry.

Finally found this thread. :shifty:

If only I could suggest every gadget these two have made. Alas, I've chosen just one:
