Sorry, guys, for being so late. I was busy over the weekend on the first German Doctor Who convention making Paul McGann read Capaldi's Death in Heaven monologue!

But without further ado...

This time let's take a look at singers turned actors either for TV or Movies, successfully or crashing and burning.

The only exception I would make for singers basically playing themselves in documentaries or cameos.

The usual rules apply, 140kb max, 150x150 pixels.
You have one week for entries.

Not sure if this counts given she technically began as a soap actress who then became a popstar, but that is what she's best known as. Kylie in Street Fighter! let me know if I need to change :)

Does it count the other way around if an actor has put together a band? Example: Russell Crowe, Kevin Bacon, Billy Bob Thornton, etc. Or is it an entirely new topic altogether?

I thought about that and decided against it. Doing it the other way around could be saved for another contest. :)

Ok, good idea. Just wanted to check to make sure. Both ideas are good enough to have their own contest.

- Keith Richards as Captain Teague in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
(I know he's more known for guitar, but he also does vocals, so I'm hoping he counts, but if I need to change it, let me know.)

I have no problem with guitar players turned actors, though I am not sure his role was more than a glorified cameo, really, and a case of "Look, it's Keith Richards!" I have to think about this.

How about a bit-part character in an episode of a TV series? I guess it could fall under what you said above, as a glorified cameo.

I decided to allow Keith Richards, because the role was relevant to the plot and actually Captain Jack's father and not just Terribly Important Pirat #3 (let's see who gets that reference!).
And he reprised his role in the sequel, so not a one time deal either.
But that is as far as I am going with allowing cameo-ish roles. ;)

^ Thanks! (Sorry, I didn't realize it was a cameo type role. I haven't actually seen the movie, but I had got the impression from the Pirates wiki that the role was at least somewhat substantive.)
