What are the TV programs, PSA's, commercials, etc that you remember from your childhood? What programs influenced you the most or do you remember the most fondly? Time to get nostalgic, folks and bust out those avatars from the childhood TV memories. Did you sing along with The Banana Splits? Did you learn the alphabet on Sesame Street? Were you glued to Fraggle Rock, PeeWee's Playhouse or Little House on the Prairie?
It must be something from television, from when you were a child, and (here's the hard part) NO SCIFI allowed. I'll allow some fantasy, like The Muppets and various superhero cartoons, but no Trek, Doctor WHo, BSG or Lost in Space, etc. We'll leave that to the SciFi forum; they have their own contest threads.
I think one of the TV programs I remember the most fondly--certainly one that had a huge impact on me--is Schoolhouse Rock. Those little mini-cartoons are still with me today; they taught me a great deal. So my little avatar tribute is from "I'm Just a Bill," which I still hear in my head whenever there's a story about a new bill not getting through Congress.
