I'm still amazed our little contest is getting so much attention this time. I really welcome that. So I decided to extend the entering phase for this contest to give more people the chance to enter (I understand that with TrekCore down it isn't as easy to get good images for the avatars this time; so with Defcon's link more people will have the chance to find good images now). I think I'll put up the voting thread sunday evening. We'll see. Have fun, because I certainly have.

FWIW, the TOS section of TrekCore should be up again this weekend according to the site, so we shouldn't have the problem next week.

But if they do those maintenance things for each series one after the other, I might get problems with the TNG contest next week.

Wow, this must be like the most entries ever in the LONG history of the TOS Avatar Contest! I like it! I think I'll allow two votes per category this time.

You know that when I finally break down, load up my 1995 copy of Paint Shop Pro and excise a 140x140 image that you've got a winner of a contest. Since this is the first avatar contest I've ever entered, I'll be aiming for the pity vote when the polling actually begins.

Back up folks, sorry about that, did it as quickly as we could Shouldn't have any maintenance downtime with the other sections, if we do it will be announced in advance. This one was unexpected.
