It's time again for a new contest...

Episode:

Dispatched to the mining colony on Janus VI, the Enterprise is tasked to investigate rumors of a strange, subterranean creature responsible for destruction of equipment and the deaths of fifty miners. Kirk and Spock discover a silicon-based life form, a Horta, which lives in the surrounding rock. After wounding the creature, Spock performs a mind meld, discovering the reason behind the Horta's attacks.

Yeah, I was a little unsure about Spock, as it's so obvious for the episode. But it's hard to resist because it just captures it so well. OK, let's drop the alternates (seconds) then.

That's a great one! I don't remember seeing that photo edit before. The only thing, if you don't mind a comment, is that the neck shadow is kind off in relation to the face. But otherwise, the pose and proportion is very good.
