Usually I sift through the TrekCore caps until I find one that sparks my creativity (and if that fails, I try to make a cap using my low-res .avi file of the ep).
...that was a long way of saying "I don't know what I want til I see it"
I'm grateful for the offer, but I don't know if I wanna ask for an extension and gamble on TrekCore goin' back up in the next 12-24 hrs

This is an unaltered screencap I did that I think is pretty close to the shot you used (resized to 50 percent).
I started the crop from the left. For a square av, the crop would end at the white line. The av had to be compressed to get all three into the image...
So, you don't know how it happened?

Nope, not a clue
When I did these season 1 screepcaps, the program I used sized them 720 x 576 . I basically took them at this size and resized them down to 120 x 120 pixels and it came out like that.
