But I have to ask - what's it the alternate ending to?

Well, it's really more of a Director's Cut ending, seeing as how it was actually released as the ending in some markets.

But it's the mighty Bruce Campbell in Sam Rami's original ending to Army of Darkness, the topper for the Evil Dead film trilogy.

For a moment, I thought it was David Tennant with long hair and a beard.

As awesome as that is, and I'm not advocating it for disqualification, at all; it may not be the wisest choice for an entry, simply because very few people will recognize it. I never saw the alternative ending (until now), and had you not told us what it was, and posted the video, I'd never vote for it.

But I, too, have entered avatars with total disregard for their chances before, simply because I liked them enough.

I'm going to change my entry. It's still for 12 Monkeys, but is now more animated. And possibly even more spoilery? But I realized there's probably not much point spoiler coding it, since it'll probably be open in the voting thread anyway.
