There was one episode early on where they tested the gate, found it didn't squeak, and since the timer was running on its last few seconds, they slid. Right after they left, Quinn's mother and the gardener came out and she thanked him for fixing the squeaky gate. It was left ambiguous as to whether or not that was their actual home universe.Because of the infine number of universes only a single one has a squeaking gate and no existing oil cans to fix it!

Did the gate in front of Quinn's house squeak or not? If yes, it would mean the Sliders had found their home universe. If not, they'd have to keep trying.
Huh, I didn't realize it was ambiguous, I had thought at the time it was supposed to explicitly be their home universe, which is what made their leaving so tragic. But then again, it's been a *lot* of years since I've seen it, so I may have just forgotten about the ambiguity.

What kind of help were you looking for? If you just wanted to know the size restrictions, it is a maximum of 150 pixels by 150 pixels. Or do you mean you need help actually resizing the image? (Although I guess there's no point resizing it if the contest runner has disqualified it.)

Resizing help would be great, and I am hoping by posting my rationale I will get a reprieve and reconsideration!

I took it to be ambiguous, since it was never mentioned again. It could have been their home universe where the gate got fixed and nobody mentioned it to Quinn, or maybe not. I use this site: Free Online Image Editor. You can crop pictures, resize them, put borders around them, make the corners round, add text, and so on. After that, I upload the finished avatar to my Photobucket account (I don't like that site's editor).As to the size, I would welcome some help!

^You could also try a piece of software called Gimp, which is a very robust image editor. It's almost as good as Photoshop, and the best part? Gimp is totally free!

GIMP is a good tool to have but for these purposes, honestly it's far easier to just start up a Photobucket account, upload the picture to it and edit it there. Its cropping and resizing tools are easy and intuitive.

Absolutely -- E.T. is going home. I think the spaceship creating the rainbow as it leaves it prettier, but both work nonetheless. :-)
