I would have taken a recent picture of my 'backyard', but it's been so rainy as of late, that we missed the peak time to visit the popular area that people visit around this time of year.

I considered using a picture I took Sunday morning of a puddle scattered with wet leaves. Artistic and evocative, but probably a little too bleak for an avatar contest.

I'm going to stop taking entries when I put the poll up early Friday, and allow for two days of voting (Friday and Saturday) -- that way the winner has the entrie Halloween week (assuming the winner takes advantage of it).
