ENTER! Misc Av Contest: Winter

Oh, the weather outside is frightful..... or maybe not so frightful, depending on your location. So, for this week's contest, what first come to mind when you think about Winter?

No media allowed.

The poll will come up Monday, so there's plenty of time to get those entries in.


Here's what I first thought of: people bundled up against the cold.

I've been trying to chose an image from Winterlude, Ottawa's annual winter festival. I've narrowed it down to three... any thoughts?

I am partial to the first one, but I'm not sure if it's clear what's happening when I size it down to 140x140.

Yeah, looking at them again today, it's definitely the best of the lot, so here's my entry:

Anyway, I'd be a poor excuse for an Ottawan if I didn't enter an image that had to do with the Rideau Canal.

It doesn't freeze, it turns to gas, essentially. "Mythbusters" already showed they couldn't freeze pee mid air in very cold conditions.

Yeesh, no kidding. I like California cold and snow. The kind you can drive up to and play in for a while and then be back on a warm beach an hour and a half later.
