This week's contest is about things that go Vrroom! Any vehicle that zooms along, is fast, powerful, makes you want to put the pedal to the metal, etc. Cars, planes, trains, rockets, bikes, boats, subs---anything.

Here's mine:

Standard av rules apply and no media (that means NO MOVIES OR TV) is allowed.
eta: poll will go up on Wednesday.

I feel the need-- the need for speed! Well, no, I'm actually rather laconic by nature, but I'll see what I can come up with. :D

Okay, here we go. While technically not the fastest vehicle that ever flew, this sucker is still ticking along lickety-split into the wild black yonder:

Hmm, I'm either gonna go with one of my old, actually used avs, the more artsy one:

Or with this, the more vrrroom one:

Both depicting one of the most beautiful planes ever, the Supermarine Spitfire.

I'd go with the second, quite the low flying aircraft.

My entry is the Bugatti Veyron, the fastest production car in the world.

It's promo art, I couldn't find any actual photographs of it, hope it's okay. It's the Phoenix 1000 luxury submarine.

There are no actual photographs of it because it doesn’t exist yet. The company’s waiting for a customer to write them a $78 million check.

If it ever actually gets made, the Phoenix 1000 will be one of the coolest seagoing vessels ever built. But, with a surface cruising speed of 16 knots (30 km/h) and a maximum submerged speed of 10 knots (18.5 km/h), it won’t exactly “vroom.” So I’m not sure if it qualifies.
