This week's contest is Rain or Shine: any avatar depicting a rainy day or a nice, sunny day, in some manner, as long as the state of the weather (rainy or sunny) is obvious. Standard BBS av size rules apply: 150x150 pixels max, 140 KB limit. No media, please; that means no television, movie, or comic book avatars.

Every May the Ten Tors Challenge takes place on Dartmoor in Devon, the county where I live. Every year that weekend in May is pretty much guaranteed to be cold, windy, and very, very wet, as can be seen in my entry.



My younger son participated in the one day hike specifically for special needs schools this past May. When we picked him up after the hike I could (almost) literally have wrung him out. He was soaked to the skin despite wearing all the appropriate rain gear.

Not that I know of. The place I found the image at didn't mention it being from a movie or video. It just had a generic "kissing in the rain" label.
