:brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: I forgot this was in Misc :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:

And I didn't remember before having already made an entry:

:rommie:

[Justus D. Barnes in The Great Train Robbery (1903)]

Even when searching for 'theatre curtains' it didn't occur to me that I was framing part of a film :rommie: Yeah, it probably cunts as media so I'm trying to put together a different thing: dead bandits.

Although... they probably overpriced the popcorn and the softdrinks in theatres even back then, legendarily so :p

^^ Beat me to it. Back to the old drawing board. :rommie:

I don't know. Maybe anything over a hundred years old should count as History instead of Media. :D

We should get a ruling from the contest-runner.

Annie Oakley (the one from "Annie get your gun" and from Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show)

Sorry, but you'll have to resize it. Entries can't be larger than 150x150 pixels.
That aside, nice one! :techman:

@trekkiedane: Sorry, but that's obviously Media and no actual Wild West legend. Better go with the one-armed bandit.

@trekkiedane: Sorry, but that's obviously Media /.../

Yeah it is, isn't it just the very definition of it :rommie:

ETA:

Better play safe then: Again Lucky Luke comes to the rescue, Phantly Roy Bean, Jr., aka. Judge Roy Bean -or- The Law West of Pecos:

Apparently he used to be quite the ladies' man inbetween running away from various degrees of trouble :rommie:

Wikipedia said:
In the two months that he was in jail, Bean received many gifts of flowers, food, wine, and cigars from ladies in San Diego.
here

I was only able to find very few good images of him and ended up doing the avatar completely from this image, in case anyone's interested.

There's a fairly good pic in one of the Lucky Luke comic books (vol 31, at the end of the book)
And on this German site:http://rooschristoph.blogspot.de/2012/06/roy-bean.html
And you'll perhaps find a few new ones by googling in German: http://www.google.de/search?q=Roy+b...56,d.bGE&fp=675236a9740bdaef&biw=1280&bih=879

What about Rick? Doesn't he participate? There are quite a few celebs we didn't cover yet: Pocahontas (though being pacifist and from the East coast she might not count), Big Nose Kate, Billie the Kid, Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid, Black Bart the rhyming robber, the Dalton Gang, Buckshot rogers, Johnny Ringo etc.
Then there was that woman who lived as a trapper and they found out her gender only when she had died - I can't recall her name.
And how about the real and fake Native Americans? Grey Owl (fake), Tecumseh (genuine), Seattle (prophetic) etc?
And since we have Sitting Bull, how about Custer? Davy Crockett? Daniel Boone?

Nice list. Locutus of Bored did a Billy the Kid one, though. Not saying I won't allow another one, but with so many great options left, why would anyone'd risk splitting the vote?!

And, no, Pocahontas doesn't count.

Quick recap!
