Since most if not all of the recent avat contests in gen TV and Med revolve around film and media, I thought I'd turn to another form of media entertainment: rock music... so the category is ROCK BANDS !!! after all, most bands have a distinct look, or a distinct logo. Sometimes its the strange outfits (Angus Young hasn't changed his clothes all career long) or the big hair (about a dozen 80's bands) or thye huge amount of drums and percussion (a certain drummer I know of) so I figured that this industry is filled with as many visual cues as well as audio ones.

I think you all know the rules... 140X140, and the moving ones... well I'm not sure about that but anyone who knows how to do that will know, or they can message the board moderator to find out.

I'm not sure the length of time. How about a a little over a week to get entries in, say next Tuesday the 12th. Is that too much time?

Excellent idea for a theme!

That's far too much time, I think. The polls usually go up on the weekends--so maybe put it up Friday or Saturday? 5 days is more than long enough.

If you check under your user CP/Edit Avatar, it will tell you "The maximum size of your custom image is 140 by 140 pixels or 70.0 KB."

Thanks for the insight auntiehill! Anyway, I left a lot of time because the contests in the various Trek series seem to last forever, so I figured entries are down and I wanted to get as many entries as I could.

That being said I agree with you. Let's see how we are doing for entires by Saturday.
