Thanks for all the votes last week. I guess it's definitive proof that Batman can beat everyone given enough time.

This week's theme will be glorified advertisements. You know them when you see them. You're watching a show, and you're enjoying it (or not,) but you know deep down that the true intent is not to create quality programming. The true intent is to hock a product.

The entry period will run until some time Wednesday. Let's get 'em rolling in.

Are we talking product placements (like Smallville going out of their way to pitch Stride and Yaris in a heavy-handed and obvious way) or something like Saturday morning cartoons which existed only to sell toys?

I'd say both are admissible. If it's within a show, and is trying to sell something, it's good.

It wouldn't make a good avatar, but I thought it was funny (I even noticed it the first time I saw it) how in Casino Royale they have Bond look down at his GPS so we can get a good look at it and the brand name, even though his destination is straight ahead and right in front of him.

Funny you should mention that, I was just in the process of trying to do a Casino Royale one with its 5 bajillion Sony products, but PowerDVD won't let me do screen captures for Blu-rays and I no longer have my DVD copy.
