Do you get the feeling if he was a "hot" alien she would have been all over staying with him?

Possibly. Didn't he mentally project himself as a handsome human, or was that only in one scene? It's been a while since I saw the episode.

I remember in college I wrote an essay on this episode for a communication studies class, from a critical feminist standpoint... because the professor was a feminist scholar, and I knew that would get a good grade.

Yeah at first he was a human she seemed kind of interested in till she saw what he really looked like.

I got the impression that she was a little freaked out about someone getting "inside her head". It would creep me out as well, regardless of how handsome he was.

Why? Women often demand that we listen through them, not listen to them.

In order to do that, we have to be inside their heads anyway.

And you don't really need telepathy to do that.

It seemed a lot like the "Beauty and the Beast" fairytale to me, so I got disgusted by it real fast.

I do think she wasn't as into it once she saw his real appearance, but I got the feeling the real issue was his complete and utter creepiness.
