I remember something a while back with Kirk wearing his dress uniform and he had a medal next to all his patches, I was just wondering if that medal was the same as the medal given at the end of the film. When I saw the medal I thought "I swear I've seen that medal before".

I had the same feeling... at firts i thought about the old UFP medal but then... y noticed it had a pattern made out of triangles! Maybe its the same pattern kirk had on TOS!
