ENDGAME: It's finale time for Voyager on Spike!

Love it of loathe it (the episode and the network), "Endgame" is going to air on Spike this week.

It's on Tuesday night at 10pm PDT (check local listings) but only for an hour (so maybe they're only showing half of it?), and on again Wednesday afternoon at 1pm PDT (check local listings) when the entire two hours is scheduled.

Perhaps not the best final episode a Trek has ever had, but certainly worth another viewing, especially if it's been a while.

This is the first time Spike has completed a cycle of Voyager, isn't it? NOTE: there's an airing of Paralax slotted in there this week, but don't panic and think you've missed the finale if you see it. It's filler.

Caretaker starts the cycle again on Thursday.

Endjoy the show folks. It was a fitting end to Star Trek: Voyager. I loved the concept of Voyager facing off against the Borg one last time as they try to get home while they're still young. I also liked the concept of Admiral Janeway of the future helping Captain Janeway of the present. The episode reminded me of the Terminator movies in that it delt with cyborgs, time travel, and a hero from the future. The shield armor was awesome, the best upgrade Voyager got out of the entire series.

The only things I dislike are Miral's birth and the Seven/Chakotay relationship being rushed. Those should have been delt with before the finale.

Of course it begs the question if future Janeway travelled back in time to get Voyager home early, then why did future Janeway travel in time to get Voyager home early?

I hate temperol Mechanics. Unless of course we are dealing with Quantum universe mecahnics here, which are almost as bad.

Simply, Future Janeway was from an alternate future. As soon as she traveled back in time from 2403 to 2377, the future she came from ceased to exist, replaced by the new future she was creating. When 2403 rolls around, everything will be completely different than what we saw in "Endgame." If that Admiral Janeway went back in time, then there would be three Janeway's in "Endgame." Captain Janeway, Admiral Janeway on a mission to get Voyager home early, and an embarrased Admiral Janeway foolishly thinking she had to go back in time to get Voyager home. I'm sure the other two Janeways rolled their eyes at her.

Yea, pretty much Janeway was altering history there. So technically, she as of 2403 never existed.

Its like you going back in time to kill hitler's parents before they got married. The world today would be vastly different in that case.

This would explain why my Voyager aint on but some garbage called "Bullrun" is.

Are they going to reboot the Voy re-runs? (please say yes)!

I don't know why they wouldn't. They'll probably change the time, but Spike payed a good chunk of cash for Trek, it would be a waste not to milk it for all it's work. Besides, it's not like they actually have something better.

SpikeTV website shows Caretaker parts 1 & 2 scheduled to air this Thursday. Looks like they're changing the timeslot though. From 1:00am to 4:00pm ET. Don't know if this is permanent, there's no schedule posted beyond Thursday.

I hope the change is permanent. Afternoons is a much better timeslot IMO.

Um... no. There is no schedule change. Spike has been airing the entire run of Voyager at both 4-6 PM and 1 AM this entire time. One AM has traditionally been reserved for an encore of whatever episode was aired at 4 PM, unless there was a two-parter (It seems Caretaker and Endgame are the two exeptions to the rule, however), but only on late Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. No 1 AM airing on late Thursday/1 AM Friday or late Friday/1 AM Saturday. You only got one chance to view whatever was aired at 5 PM on a given day... and you only got one episode broadcast on 5 PM on Fridays. This is the way its been up till now (well, they started 5 - 7 but switched to 4-6 a few months back), and it seems that it will continue to keep it this way as the episodes reboot from the beginning... although it remains to be seen how long before Voyager gets the DS9 treatment. For now, it's still enjoying its newly aired rerun status, remaining "fresh".

Another look at Spike's schedule reveals an interesting juxtaposition in the works... "Endgame," the two hour finale of Voyager - the "last hurrah" of the next generation Trek timeline - will be preceded Wednesday by "Encounter at Farpoint", the two hour premeire of TNG - our FIRST peek into this new era of the Trekiverse.

Also, a question: what's missing? I recall a conversation and game of Kaldis Kot over subspace radio between Seven and Neelix (this is after Neelix leaves the ship). I think that episode got left out! What ep WAS that?

Endgame Pt 1...oddly, it-the scene started playing as I read your post...I'm watching the latenight showing...Both parts air tomorrow.

How crap was that? I expected endgame to be on, and even as late as Monday, Spike's listings said it would be on Tuesday. I get home to see Bill Goldberg's hornery ass yelling at a bunch of gearheads. I was a bit pissed.

It wouldn't fix all the scheduling trouble. They'd still have to screw with things any time a two part episode was an even production number.

I'm talking about this instance, there are obviously going to be foulups later on down the road. Had they aired 2 eps of Voy on Friday, it would've been Homestead at 4 eastern and Renaissance Man at 5 eastern.

Monday, Endgame 1 and 2 at 4 and 5 respectively
Caretaker 1 and 2 at the same time on Tuesday.

Why the hell is Spike airing only one ep on Friday anyway? They just started that a month-or-so ago.

I stayed up till 2 am watching it, mainly because it was hot last night and I couldn't sleep.

Why do all future Klingons use those massive ships? Especially since the Klingon is living a hole in the ground, hardly seems like a first rate house to me.

Seems like for aquarter Klingon, Paris and Torres' daughter's ridges still seem as significant as her mothers.

And Seven and Chakotay...whatever...just whatever. I never wanna hear Beltran complain about anything again...chump got to kiss Jeri Ryan...twice...at least.


Beyond that, part one was not as bad as I remember, even if it tires to ape ALL GOOD THINGS as much as possible!
