Okay, this past season hasn't been the most exciting ever, but I'm surprised there isn't already a thread for this.
Nominations here.
Curb Your Enthusiasm and Archer are funnier than any of the comedy nominees. At least they're funny enough to get me to watch them.
Outstanding Drama Series: Much as I love Dexter, S5 was weak. The Walking Dead should have lurched into that slot.
Nice to see Dinklage's nomination and I don't even watch Game of Thrones (I'll see it on DVD). I believe all the praise he's gotten sight unseen. Ditto for Timothy Olyphant. I'll start catching up w/Justified soon. Michelle Forbes in The Killing certainly deserves a nomination, but where's Katey Sagal for Sons of Anarchy? That show deserves more Emmy love than it's ever gotten.
I'm sure Mildred Pierce will dominate the ever-weak miniseries category.
Rooting for Futurama in the animated category, although this season really hasn't been its best.
For nonfiction special, Gettysburg was surprisingly good. Didn't think there was much new they could get out of that topic.
