Emily Blunt sought for IM:3 as a villain?

It's the rumor mill and the source is from the UKMail so its major grain of salt on this one I'd guess. Most of the article is full of info we knew from before IM:2's premiere on how Paltrow felt overlooked by Scarlett. Then this portion:

It's known that they wanted Emily for Black Widow and also approached her to be in Captain America. So it's possible Marvel could've made an overture to her for IM:3 but the timing seems odd here. It's about the biggest thing making me scream bullshit.

Marvel is knee deep in post on Thor and 40+days into filming on Captain America while Joss is prepping Avengers. So between those three I don't see Marvel looking to IM: 3 until at least Avengers is in production. Not to mention Runaways being in pre-production & casting.

Be nice to have the lovely Emily Blunt in a Marvel movie but if she was a villain it'd be curious to know which one? It's a foregone conclusion an IM:3 will feature Mandarin. That article say the villain. Indicating the main one.
 
Curious since we're probably three or four years off from "Iron Man 3" happening. If she's THE villain then maybe they're dealing with a female Mandarin? Or they've created an entirely new villain for the third film. Either way I choose to take this with a grain of salt considering the source reporting it.

Madame Masque would be the obvious choice (though that's a character who I think would work better if she appeared as a normal person in a prior film).
 
Emily Blunt said she'd love to do Catwoman in a third Batman film. So I'm sure she'd do that before Iron Man 3.
 
Emily Blunt seems to be highly sought after so we'll wait the two or three years it will take before anything happens on "Iron Man 3".

I went inti this thread thinking it was about mission impossible 3, and I thought she was originally supposed to be Phillip Seymore Hoffmans character, silly me, haha
