EMH Mark XI ?

I read that it was in Full circle, but i havnt gotten to read that one yet. Can anyone tell me anything about this particular EMH?

I can't be 100% sure (I've just skimmed through Full Circle and Unworthy to make certain I was remembering correctly but couldn't find confirmation), but I seem to remember the Mark XI being a brunette female, though I could be wrong.

Was it not "Greater Than the Sum" which introduced it as such?

I don't understand why the idea of emergency holograms wasn't expanded to include other vital areas besides medicine. Voyager lost her chief engineer. Why aren't there Emergency Engineering Holograms? Wouldn't the Starfleet Corps of Engineers be interested in an engineering hologram that looks like Scotty or another great engineer in Starfleet? Why hasn't the idea been expanded to other mission areas since the EMH is at Mark XI? A hologram that could perform piloting and navigation tasks? A hologram that could be an expert system/consultant in an area in which the crew is not well versed? There must be other holoprogrammers in the Federation in addition to Dr. Lewis Zimmerman.

They had, among others, Gorn, Hirogen, Klingon and Pahkwa-thanh security holograms.

It made me wonder; what would the Gorn think? The Pahkwa-thanh would be fine with it, they're in the UFP, the Klingons might grumble a bit or might be honoured, the Hirogen probably wouldn't care in the slightest, but how would the Gorn react? Holographic Gorn "servants" on Federation ships? Could be an issue....

^I imagine that as long as these "servants" are being used to kick some ass, then all would be good. We're talking about Reg and the Doc here...They're not going to "use" holos in any untoward manner. The Doc has been fighting for holo rights for some time. I would use the word "tool" as opposed to "servant". I also imagine that most of the holos onboard the Galen wouldn't be as advanced mentally as the Doc is...

Of course, any EMH developed after Voyager's return may have been developed with help or input from Voyager's EMH, so looking like Kes is totally possible.
