Easter

So I was re-watching "The 11th Hour" and I could have sworn that when Amelia was praying she said it was easter. And we know that in "The Impossible Astronaut" there was a scene that was visually representative of easter. I'm not sure if there is a connection between these two season premier episodes under Steven Moffat but I found it interesting.

And Amy's wedding was scheduled for the day the season finale aired. Moffat seems to like making portions of Doctor Who feel like it's taking place right now.

That makes sense so maybe this is a case of reading too much into one little thing.

Indeed.

Ten also says something about Easter in The Planet of the Dead and guess what, that was first broadcast on Easter Saturday 2009!

That was a really lame way to pretend Planet of the Dead was an Easter special though, seemed really shoehorned in.

What? It aired on Easter weekend! Did you expect Peter Frick'n Cottontail to board the TARDIS?

(The above should be read in the spirit of jovial comradery -- and in a thick Philly or Bronx accent.)

I will smile sweetly even though I don't get the reference :)

No I know what you mean, it just wasn't really an Easter special, apart from being on at Easter and having mention of easter eggs, but then it'd be hard to do a proper easter special I guess, much easier to do a crimbo special. I still wish WoM had been aired at Halloween!

Why not, Iris travels with a Panda ;)
